Adrian Cook sits down with George Mahn, III from Vertical Leap for this multipart live interview in celebration of the musician’s newest album, The Apollo Sessions: Vertical Leap Remastered.

A candid conversation about life and music, George discusses the origin of Vertical Leap, finding inspiration and The Apollo Sessions, working with other artists in the studio where he can be found behind the console as producer, sound engineer and film composer, and the tale of ‘The Dove’, his new custom Taylor acoustic guitar. The interview series includes live solo performances taken from The Apollo Sessions release.

Lovely. Just a lovely sharing of your thoughts on the journey. I’m glad you got that guitar.

Thank you! Indeed, designing this guitar encompassed quite a journey that, in certain ways, made the instrument as much an object of expression as a means of expression. A quest of art and life!
