A new day dawns and musical discoveries await! Thrilled that my Taylor 2019 Custom Acoustic Grand Concert Guitar has arrived!
I chose the Dove inlay for the headstock because the symbolism resonates with much of the music I create. Since the guitar does not have a specific model designation due to the unique custom design, the name Dove seems appropriate.
The inlay is not a standard option and took some diligence to obtain. Made of Paua, it compliments the overall aesthetic: Grade AA Indian Rosewood back and sides with Lutz Spruce soundboard on top; Adirondack Spruce performance bracing; figured Cocobolo binding; Mahogany neck; West African Ebony fretboard, peghead veneer, bridge plate and pins with Abalone Dots; Abalone Rosette; Bone nut / Micarta saddle; Taylor Mother of Pearl logo; and Antique Gold tuners.
Graceful and inspiring, the guitar performs as smoothly as a Taylor should and sounds as beautiful as it looks. I smile every time I look at it and new ideas are already taking flight!
