Dear Friends,
Nothing in life is more precious than sharing time with those whom we love, especially as together we watch the last grains of sand drift through the hourglass. With this in mind, I will be on hiatus from blogging while I join my ill father in recounting the sands of a joyful life.
Prayers for my family will be greatly appreciated. I will try to catch up with each of you as circumstances allow and I certainly look forward to visiting again soon.

Thanks for the warm hugs, Francina. At the time I posted this we had just learned that the doctors had done all they could and all we could do was help my father be as comfortable as possible. We were fortunate to spend a great deal of time together reminiscing and working on projects during the ensuing weeks, which was good for both of us, and we were together at the last hour when he passed in mid-March. Even so, we could spend all the time possible and still want more.
My dad fought a gallant fight against cancer for three years so knowing that his pain is now past combined with faith that he is in heaven brings comfort.

Dear George, I’m sorry to hear about your loss even though it is good to know that you could spent as much time as possible together. There is never time enough to share, it seems . And even when we know we will lose someone we love, the missing will be the same.
